Sinclair-Tribune Merger Opposition
From the ground up, our team built a diverse coalition that became the leading voice of opposition to, and ultimately stopped, the proposed Sinclair Broadcast Group-Tribune Media merger. Our nearly three dozen members—including media companies, distributors, independent networks, labor unions, public interest groups, and other allies— represented a full spectrum of policy views and included members that had previously been on the opposite sides of regulatory fights. Our team managed and directed coalition members in diverse tactics publicly and behind the scenes including earned media, grassroots advocacy and mobilization, television, radio, digital advertising, and campaigns to reach influencers at the federal, congressional, and state level that resulted in the merger being delayed, investigated, and ultimately stopped.
