Data, Research, and Paid Media Assistant

New Paradigm Agency, a D.C.-based communications and public affairs consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Data, Research, and Paid Media Assistant who is a highly motivated thinker and can work independently, meet tight deadlines, and balance tasks in multiple areas of expertise at once.

Day-to-day, you will assist in the creation and execution of custom audience targeting for digital advertising campaigns for a variety of clients and tracking the success of those campaigns. That includes supporting media plan development with broad and niche targeting, researching relationships and power-mapping, trafficking data between vendors, creating and loading ad campaigns into platforms (i.e. Google, OneView, etc.), daily monitoring and optimization of campaigns, and reporting.

You should have a strong interest in data and targeting. You should be a power Excel user, and experience with SQL is a bonus. You should bring unique ways to find and build lists, and in turn, track the process of how that impacts digital advertising, communications, branding, and digital media. As a Data, Research, and Paid Media Assistant you will:

  • Help create custom media plans and targeted audiences for paid media campaigns.
  • Build custom reports using Excel pivot tables and/or Google Looker.
  • Research campaign targets and their networks to assist in finding new ways to reach them.
  • Create and manage data lists used across campaigns, platforms, and client teams.
  • Help clients and team leads understand the impact of our work by providing data for presentations or reports that show things such as web traffic, social engagement, email rates, click rates, and/or advertising metrics.
  • Assist in managing client deliverables and internal reconciliation.
  • Deliver on tight deadlines while working with a diverse set of clients and adapt to new tasks as they fluctuate with client needs.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be passionately curious and exude creativity, with a strong attention to detail. They will have:

  • Experience completing complex research projects.
  • Experience building and maintaining data lists.
  • Experience building complex pivot tables.
  • Awareness of digital advertising and paid media campaigns across platforms and channels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, campaigns, and client teams at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail, consistency, and best practices.
  • Commitment to being a team player who believes no task is too small.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to learn new programs, multitask, stay organized, and prioritize tasks to hit deadlines.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to become familiar with current digital trends, tactics, and best practices.

Bonus Qualifications:

Any one of these would be a bonus, but they are not expected:

  • Experience with digital advertising platforms including Google and Programmatic Platforms like OneView/Roku.
  • Experience with data analytics or database management like SQL.
  • Experience with task management in Asana or similar project management software.
