New Paradigm Agency is a D.C.–based communications and public affairs consulting firm seeking a full-time Digital Communications Assistant with 1–3 years of experience to support digital programs for nonprofit, corporate, advocacy, and political clients.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agency environment—managing multiple clients, executing engaging and rapid digital work, and helping teams deliver high-quality products on deadlines. You’ll support clients in building digital infrastructure, social media efforts, and activating audiences online.
What You’ll Do
- Develop creative, compelling and persuasive content that drives organic and paid digital campaigns, organizes online communities and mobilizes digital actions
- Assist client teams with developing and managing strategic digital communications plans for our clients that advance their goals while incorporating digital innovations and trends
- Support digital communications programs across web, email, social, and paid media for multiple clients and campaigns
- Draft, schedule, and publish social media content; assist with social strategy, channel and audience growth and rapid response
- Assist in the management of client websites, landing pages and CRMs
- Assist in the management of online tools to monitor and optimize advocacy efforts as well as track engagement and trends to implement on client platforms and channels to increase engagement
- Work with clients to strategize and build influencer relationships
- Track performance metrics and help prepare client-facing reports and presentations
- Support paid digital campaigns through research, setup, optimization, and reporting
- Collaborate closely with account teams, creatives, and leadership to meet client goals and deadlines and communicate performance of digital efforts
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in digital communications, social media, marketing, or agency work
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Google Suite – experience with pivot tables is a plus
- Familiarity with social platforms and publishing tools
- Comfort with translating analytics and performance data into written narratives and reporting deliverables
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Agency, political, or advocacy experience
- Familiarity with digital organizing or online mobilization
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar)
- Experience with CRMs and mass email tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Action Network, or similar)
- Basic SEO or website optimization knowledge
- Experience supporting paid digital advertising not required, but a plus (including in programmatic DSPs like StackAdapt, Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)

NOTE: This position requires in-office attendance Monday-Thursday. Friday is WFH. Our DC office is located in Metro Center.
